What is a FedEx residential delivery surcharge?

The residential delivery surcharge is an additional fee charged by FedEx when delivering packages to residential addresses (a home or private residence), rather than a commercial address where multiple packages can be delivered at once.

This fee is applicable for both domestic shipments and international shipments.

As mentioned in this page, FedEx shipping surcharges are shown in the estimated shipping rate displayed in the shipping rates section before creating a shipping label. The FedEx residential delivery surcharge will appear in Ship&co as follow:

Note: When creating a shipping label in Ship&co, by default, the shipment is created as a residential delivery. 

How much is FedEx residential delivery surcharge?

The FedEx residential delivery surcharge can be different based on where you ship from and to and the shipping service applied for the shipment. 

• U.S. Express Package Services charge $5.80 per package for residential delivery charge.
  
• U.S. Ground Services and International Ground Service charge $5.50 per package ($5.15 per package for FedEx Home Delivery)
