How to ship your orders with Japan Post Domestic Yu-Pack and Yu-Packet

Yu-Pack and Yu-Packet are postal services offered by Japan Post, the national postal service of Japan. These two services are widely used to ship e-commerce parcels. In this article, we will guide you how to ship your orders with Japan Post Domestic shipping service: Yu-Pack and Yu-Packet.

How to ship with Yu-Pack

To create shipping label and ship with Yu-Pack (ゆうパック), follow these steps:

1. Go to Orders Page.
2. Select your order.
3. In Parcels section, select Yu-Pack and set up the following topics:
   
   • Parcel size: select parcel size from Box 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, and 170 size.
     Note: The weight is not required.
   • Delivery hour: set up the delivery hour from the available list if necessory.
     Note: If you would like to set it as the fastest option possible, you do not need to specify a desired delivery date or time.
     
     • Anytime
     • Before noon
     • 12:00pm-2:00pm
     • 2:00pm - 4:00pm
     • 4:00pm - 6:00pm
     • 6:00pm - 8:00pm
   • Delivery date: set up the delivery date for your shipment if necessory.
   • Qty.: select the number of parcels if you want to ship multi-parcels (maximum quantity is 5.)
4. In the Option section, set up the following topics:
   • Date of Shipping: This field is by default, set as the current date.
   • Service type: select from Regular, Parcel Chilled or Parcel Frozen.
   • Cash on delivery: Tick this option if you ship with Cash on delivery option (COD/代金引換). For more details about COD, please refer to this page.
   • Security service: Tick this option if you require coverage exceeding 300,000 yen.
5. Ensure all the data is accurate and click the printer (🖨️) button located in the bottom right-hand corner.

The Yu-Pack shipping label PDF is generated in the pre-configured label format, and the screen will switch automatically. Click the "Label" button to view and print the PDF.

Shipping history including the label PDFs can be reviewed on the "Shipments" page for up to 60 days after the label is created.

How to ship with Yu-Packet

To create shipping label and ship with Yu-Packet (ゆうパケット), follow these steps:

1. Go to Orders Page and select your order.
2. In the Parcels section, select Yu-Packet and set up the following topics:
   
   • Print Order: if you are using the inkjet/laser printer setting, set up the print order to create shipping label. (The default is "1" and you can select from 1-10.)
     Note: ⚠️ The print order is a number that determines the printing start position of the exclusive Paper mentioned above. You can print 10 shipments from the upper left to the lower right. For example, if you select number 4 in the Print Order, it will be printed in the location of number 4 as per the image below.
     

     

   • Delivery date: Not applicable.
   • Qty.: Not applicable. This field is by default, set as 1. Multi-parcels option is not supported with Yu-Packet.
3. The Option section doesn't apply to Yu-Packet. Ensure all the data is accurate and click the printer (🖨️) button located in the bottom right-hand corner.

Now, the shipping label for Yu-Packet service has been successfully issued. Please print it on the suitable paper.
