If you have an active ECMS contract, you can connect your ECMS account to Ship&co to create shipping labels directly from the platform.
Prerequisites
Before getting started, make sure you have:
- An active account / contract with ECMS
- Your Client Code (provided by ECMS — typically 3 uppercase letters)
- Your Token (API Token provided by ECMS upon request)
If you don't have your Client Code or API Access Token yet, please contact your ECMS account manager to obtain them.
If you have not yet signed a contract with ECMS, please contact ECMS by email at sales.jp@ecmsglobal.com.
Steps
- Log in to your Ship&co account
- Go to the Carriers page
- Find ECMS in the carrier list and click on it
- In the setup dialog, enter:
- Client Code — your 3-letter code provided by ECMS
- Token — the API token provided by ECMS
- Click Save
Once saved, ECMS will appear as an available carrier when creating shipping labels with Ship&co. You can now generate ECMS shipping labels directly from Ship&co.
Shipping Insurance Option
Ship&co supports the shipping insurance service “ESE Care” provided by ECMS. You can apply this option by entering the value of the shipment in the “Declared Value Carriage” field when creating a shipping label. Please review the following points before using this service:
- Please ensure that “ESE Care” is already activated under your contract with ECMS.
- ECMS shipping rates, including the “ESE Care” optional fee, are not displayed in the Ship&co interface.
- Whether “ESE Care” is applied cannot be confirmed on the shipping label or invoice. If you need confirmation, please contact your ECMS sales representative or customer service directly.
Shipping Labels
Currently, ECMS shipping labels are only available in thermal format, 4×6 inches.
Commercial Invoices
When you create an ECMS shipping label in Ship&co, a commercial invoice for customs clearance (in Ship&co format) will also be automatically generated. However, you do not need to print or attach this invoice to your shipment. ECMS has a separate system that creates their own invoice based on the transmitted data. Please attach only the shipping label to your shipment.
