When selling goods valued at €150 or less from outside the EU to customers within the EU, Amazon typically collects VAT automatically and remits it using the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme. The IOSS system is designed to simplify VAT reporting and payment for B2C cross-border sales.
To ensure smooth customs clearance, sellers are required to provide the IOSS number issued by Amazon (via Seller Central) to their logistics provider.
Note: In cases where the IOSS scheme is not applicable (e.g., when selling to business customers), Amazon will not provide an IOSS number in Seller Central.
IOSS Handling in Ship&co
For orders where IOSS applies, the IOSS number is automatically transmitted from Amazon to Ship&co. There is no need to manually enter the IOSS number in the Ship&co app.
