You can add Tax IDs (such as VAT ID, EORI, etc.) for the consignee or importer in international orders directly within Ship&co. This feature is currently supported for JapanPost International, ZONOS, Pegasus, UPS, Fedex and DHL.
Some destinations require the recipient's own tax ID for customs clearance. For example, CPF (individuals) / CNPJ (companies) for Brazil, the Resident ID for China, the Personal Customs Clearance Code (PCCC) for South Korea, the RFC for Mexico, or the Codice Fiscale for Italy — all of these go in this same field.
This field is for the recipient's own tax ID. Numbers such as IOSS, ABN or VOEC belong to the exporter, seller or marketplace and should not be entered here.
How to Add a Tax ID to an Order before creating an international shipments on Ship&co:
- Open the Order page in your Ship&co account.
- Click on "See all options" to expand the additional fields.
- Scroll down to the "Extra options" section and locate the field labeled "Consignee VAT or Tax ID".
- Enter the consignee's Tax ID in the provided field. The use of spaces or symbols is not recommended. Please enter alphanumeric characters only. (Final acceptance is subject to the destination country's customs authorities.)
Once entered, the Tax ID will automatically be included on the carrier's invoice when you generate a shipping label.
