We have introduced a new "usage-based billing system" for Ship&co, from February 20th 2026.
By continuing to use Ship&co after February 20, 2026, you agree to the new billing terms.
What’s Changing and Why?
We’re moving from fixed subscription plans to a more transparent and fair usage-based model. With this new system, you no longer need to guess how many shipments you'll have in a month or manually upgrade/downgrade your plan. Your billing will adjust automatically based on your actual usage.
We’ve also introduced a monthly infrastructure fee to support and maintain a stable and high-performance environment. This helps ensure that all our customers, from small businesses to large enterprises, can rely on a consistently available and high-quality platform and API experience.
Under the new pricing structure, some customers may see an increase in their monthly charges compared to before. However, based on simulations using past usage data, we’ve found that on a yearly basis, the new model results in more reasonable pricing for most customers, as it better reflects their actual usage.
In particular, customers who were on higher-tier plans but had months with lower shipment volumes (about 10% of all users) may even see their overall charges decrease under the new system.
Overview of the New Billing Model
Your monthly bill will be the sum of two components:
- The actual number of shipping labels created in Ship&co, in your monthly billing cycle
- A fixed infrastructure fee based on your usage tier
1. Per Label Fee
| Monthly Volume | JPY* | USD* | EUR* |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–50 | ¥22 | $0.17 | €0.16 |
| 51–1,000 | ¥18 | $0.13 | €0.12 |
| 1,001–3,000 | ¥15 | $0.12 | €0.11 |
| 3,001–5,000 | ¥13 | $0.11 | €0.10 |
| 5,001–10,000 | ¥11 | $0.09 | €0.08 |
| 10,001+ | ¥10 | $0.08 | €0.07 |
*Tiered Pricing - Charges are applied progressively based on your usage, according to the rates defined for each tier.
2. Infrastructure Fee
| Monthly Volume | JPY | USD | EUR |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0–50* | ¥1,100 | $8 | €7 |
| 51–1,000 | ¥3,300 | $25 | €20 |
| 1,001–3,000 | ¥5,500 | $40 | €35 |
| 3,001–5,000 | ¥8,800 | $70 | €65 |
| 5,001–10,000 | ¥9,900 | $80 | €75 |
| 10,001+ | ¥11,000 | $90 | €85 |
*If a subscription plan is active, the minimum monthly infrastructure fee will be charged even if no shipping labels are created during the month.
What Does This Mean for the Current Billing?
This new model applies to all Ship&co customers. Here's what to expect:
As of February 20th, 2026, your current plan will automatically end, and starting from the billing cycle that includes this transition, charges will automatically switch to the new pricing structure. No action is required on your part to change plans.
Customers currently subscribed to the Monthly Discount Plan will receive a credit for the prepaid monthly fee covering the current billing cycle, when the new plan is released. The credited amount will be added to your customer balance and automatically applied to future invoices.
Eligible customers will receive an email titled “Credit Note from Ship&co” at the time the new plan is released. Please refer to the email for details.
Billing Cycle and Invoice Date
For existing Ship&co customers:
Same as before. There are no changes.
For customers newly starting to use Ship&co:
Your billing cycle is fixed as a one-month period from the date you register for the monthly subscription, and charges will be generated on the same day each month from the following month onward.
Regarding Invoice Display for Billing Cycles That Include the Transition Date (February 20th, 2026)
For billing cycles that include the transition timing, the start date of the billing period on your invoice will be displayed as "2026/02/20". (Example: If your most recent billing date was February 17th, your first invoice under the new pricing plan will show the billing period as "2026/02/20 - 2026/03/17"). This display is due to the specifications of our payment system, Stripe. Please note that in actuality, all usage since your previous billing date is properly accounted for.
If You Do Not Wish to Transition to the New Billing
For users who do not wish to automatically transition to the new pricing plan, you can cancel your subscription in your account profile page. By clicking on the cancel button, your current subscription will be terminated right away, and usage fees incurred from your last billing date up until the time of this action (based on your selected plan) will be charged to your registered credit card.
The immediate cancelation button will be effective on Ship&co's "Profile" page from February 13th 2026 until February 20th, 2026 at 20:00 JST. Please make sure to cancel your subscription during this period, if you wish to cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect. (During this period, the standard “Cancel” button will function as an “Immediate Cancel” button.)
After canceling your subscription, you'll not be able to create shipments anymore, but you can still access your Ship&co account and see past shipments (for the past 60 days).
