Tax ID Support for eBay Sellers on Ship&co (IOSS, VOEC, SST, ABN, IRD, etc)

When eBay orders include tax ID or business registration number data, Ship&co automatically retrieves and applies these numbers to simplify international shipping. We continuously update our system to support as many tax IDs as possible.

IOSS numbers and other tax IDs automatically synchronized from eBay are not displayed on the Ship&co order screen UI.

Below is an overview of tax ID integration support by carrier.

JapanPost International

For JapanPost International shipments, Ship&co supports the following tax IDs from eBay:

• IOSS (EU): Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to the EU.

• IOSS (UK): Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to the UK.

• VOEC, SST, ABN, IRD: Automatically retrieved and applied as the sender's tax ID for shipments to Norway (VOEC), Malaysia (SST), Australia (ABN), and New Zealand (IRD) respectively.

UPS

For UPS shipments, Ship&co supports the following tax IDs from eBay:

• IOSS (EU): Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to the EU.

• VOEC: Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to Norway.

DHL

For DHL shipments, Ship&co supports the following tax IDs from eBay:

• IOSS (EU): Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to the EU.

FedEx

For FedEx shipments, Ship&co supports the following tax IDs from eBay:

• IOSS (EU): Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to the EU.

• IOSS (UK): Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to the UK.

• VOEC, SST, ABN, IRD, OSS: Automatically retrieved and applied as the sender's tax ID for shipments to Norway (VOEC), Malaysia (SST), Australia (ABN), New Zealand (IRD), and OSS (Germany) respectively.

Pegasus Global Express

For Pegasus Global Express shipments, Ship&co supports the following tax IDs from eBay:

• IOSS (EU): Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to the EU.

Yamato International

For Yamato International shipments, Ship&co supports the following tax IDs from eBay:

• IOSS (EU): Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to the EU.

• VOEC: Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to Norway.

SpeedPAK FedEx / SpeedPAK DHL

For SpeedPAK FedEx and SpeedPAK DHL shipments, Ship&co supports the following tax IDs from eBay:

• IOSS (EU): Automatically retrieved and applied for shipments to the EU.

ECMS

Transmission of IOSS numbers via ECMS is not currently supported. To ship with IOSS applied via ECMS, you must contact the ECMS team in advance to have your IOSS number configured on your account. Other tax IDs are also not supported at this time.

Key Notes

• Confidentiality: The IOSS number is not displayed on the shipping label, as it is not intended to be public information. To prevent misuse by third parties, the IOSS number is kept confidential on labels. Please do not manually add the IOSS number to the label. IOSS numbers and other tax IDs that are automatically synchronized from eBay are not displayed on the Ship&co order screen UI.

• Automation: No manual setup is required in Ship&co to use the tax ID integration features listed above for eBay orders.

• Discrepancies: If a buyer is incorrectly charged VAT locally despite VAT already having been collected at the time of purchase on eBay, please provide the local carrier with documentation proving VAT payment on eBay.
