UPS, DHL, FedEx: These carriers do not support shipments to US military bases (APO/FPO/DPO).
Japan Post Shipping Requirements
Japan Post allows shipments to US military bases under the following conditions:
Eligible Mail Types:
- Standard mail items (letters, postcards, printed matter, small packets)
- Parcel post
Note: Since these items are handed over to US military post offices within Japan, they can be shipped even when acceptance of mail to the US may be suspended.
Available Special Handling Services:
- Registration (for standard mail items only)
- Insurance (for parcel post only)
- Return receipt (for registered standard mail items and insured parcel post only)
How to Create Shipping Labels in Ship&co
When creating Japan Post shipping labels in Ship&co for US military bases, follow these steps:
- Set the destination country to "United States"

Address Entry Guidelines:
- Include recipient information and APO/FPO + 5-digit or 9-digit number

Delivery Method:
- The delivery method printed on the label (Airmail, SAL, Surface) should be crossed out to prevent accidental international mailing
