When using Ship&co with your Shopify store, the order status is updated to "Fulfilled" in one of two ways:
- Automatically when a shipping label is created.
or: - Manually when you click the "Fulfill" button on the Shipments page after a label is created.
To enable Shopify to send shipping notification emails to your customers at these moments, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the "Shops" page in Ship&co.
- Click "Edit" next to the Shopify store you wish to configure.
- In "Sync settings," check the box labeled "Enable Shopify to send the Shipping Confirmation email automatically after an order is fulfilled," and save your settings.
This email is sent by the Shopify system, depending on your Ship&co settings.
Important Note: Shopify will only send a shipping notification email when the order status changes to "Fulfilled" through Ship&co’s integration if this setting is enabled. The email cannot be sent manually from the Shopify admin screen. This email is sent by Shopify system, depending on your Ship&co settings.
Additional Recommendations:
- Customizing Email Content: To better manage customer expectations, consider customizing the shipping notification email content in Shopify. For instance, you can change the message to "Your order has been prepared and will be shipped soon," instead of "Your order has been shipped." This small adjustment can help in cases where there might be a delay between order fulfillment and actual shipment.
-
Using Email Automation Apps: For more control over when your shipping notifications are sent, consider using email automation tools like Klaviyo with Shopify Flow app. These tools can delay sending emails until a preferred time after fulfillment, enhancing your communication strategy and customer experience.
