Please understand the following points when creating cash on delivery shipping labels:
Cash on Delivery (COD) fee
The Cash on Delivery (COD) fee can not be synced from online shops so the fee won't be automatically added to your COD orders. Please manually add the 'Cash on Delivery fee' to the order data in Ship&co.
Create Cash on Delivery Shipping Label
If you already have a Cash on Delivery contract with domestic carriers in Japan, you can register the carriers to Ship&co to start creating a Cash on Delivery shipping label, but if you haven't, please proceed the COD contract with the carriers.
- Sagawa Express - If you add the COD contract after the API credentials of Sagawa Express is issued, the contract won't be automatically added to the system so please report this to Ship&co support, hello@shipandco.com, in order to update contract details to the system.
- Japan Post (Yu-pack) - If you add the COD contract after the Credentials of Japan Post is issued, the contract won't be automatically added to the system so please report this to Ship&co support, hello@shipandco.com, in order to update contract details to the system. Please also note that Ship&co supports only the 'Matome Daibiki' of Yu-pack.
- Yamato Transport - If you add the COD contract after the API key of the Yamato account is issued, the contract will be automatically added to the system. No additional task required.
How to manually add the 'Cash on Delivery fee'
When ticking on the 'Cash on Delivery' option on the Options menu, there will be additional fields to add a Cash on Delivery "Amount to pay (total amount)"and "VAT (included VAT amount)". Please add the correct amount for the COD delivery.
*In case of Yamato Transport, please select service type as 'Pay on delivery' (or 'TA-Q-BIN Compact Collect', based on the service you use) in the Service name menu.
After finishing above setup, you can create Cash on Delivery shipping labels. Please make sure that the correct amount that customer will pay is printed on the label.
