Integrate your DHL account with Ship&co to create shipping labels using your discounted DHL contract rates. You can add multiple DHL accounts to your Ship&co account for better flexibility and management.
What You'll Need
Required Information:
- API Key (Site ID) and API Secret (Password) from DHL Developer Portal
- DHL Account Number (9-digit number)
Important: Your API credentials are different from your
MyDHL+ login credentials. You need to obtain these specifically from the
DHL Developer Portal.

Step-by-Step Setup Instructions
1Access DHL Settings
Navigate to the Carriers page in your Ship&co settings and click on the DHL icon.
2Enter Your Credentials
- Display Name: Create a custom name for this DHL account to help you identify it. This is especially useful if you have multiple DHL accounts. If left blank, the account number will be used as the default name.
- API Key: Enter the Site ID obtained from the DHL Express Developer Portal.
- API Secret: Enter the Password obtained from the DHL Express Developer Portal.
- DHL Account Number: Enter your 9-digit DHL account number.
3Configure Return Labels (Optional)
If you need to create return labels with your export labels:
- Check the "Enable Return Labels" box
- Enter your 9-digit DHL import account number
Additional Configuration Options
Company Information
- VAT/GST Number: Add your company tax or registration number (as the exporter). DHL requires this information for smooth customs clearance on international shipments.
Label Customization
- Hide Account Number: Check this option if you want to hide your DHL account number on shipping labels for privacy reasons.
- Package Types: Select from available DHL packaging materials to use with your orders.
Print Settings
Choose the appropriate settings based on your printer type:
Note about ZPL format: ZPL files require additional software
to use. If you're not familiar with ZPL format, we recommend using PDF files
to print thermal labels on Zebra or other thermal printers.
