In your Shopify store settings inside Ship&co, you can enable a setting to add the weight of the carton (package preset that you set up in Ship&co) to the order weight imported from Shopify.
This feature is useful if:
- You already entered the correct weight for each item in your Shopify store
- You want to avoid placing each parcel on a scale manually
- You defined the weight for each box/carton in Ship&co
When this setting is turned ON, Ship&co will calculate the shipment weight as follows:
Order total weight = Shopify item(s) weight + Ship&co package preset weight
How to enable this setting
- Go to your Shopify store settings in Ship&co
- Scroll to the “Add package preset weight to order weight” option
- Check the box to activate the feature
How to register your Package Presets
Before using this feature, you must define the weight of your boxes in the Package Presets screen.
